While perusing through Trolley Square, I came across this tiny little shop that appeared as a soap store. I walked in and was completely overtaken by the many different smells surrounding the entire store. I was lucky enough to catch the owner at work- He showed me the ropes with all of his bath bombs, lotions, scrubs and whatnot.

**Note** I have horribly sensitive skin… to the point where I cannot even wear makeup, nor over the counter lotions. David (the creator) is pictured below.

He proceeded to tell me the story behind Cosset. Surprised to find out that David’s last name was not Cosset but a well thought out definition being: to Care for and protect in an overindulgent way.

In 2007 David’s little boy was diagnosed with chronic Eczema, and for those of you who have experienced Eczema first hand- you know it is not a fun experience. So frantically they searched for something to cure the itchy and dry skin… BAM. Cosset was created. after years of testing and creating the perfect combinations, last summer he sold his bath bombs at the local farmers market. The demand was far more desired than expected. So flash forward to September 12, 2014 when the first official Cosset bath and body shop was opened.

To our excitement I was told that they are opening a second location in layton!

Pleased beyond belief with the lovely scents, demonstrations, and mini spa treatment as I prepared to leave, David told me one last thing. As he was opening the Bomb casings, he said- we have tested and have decided to use only salt from the great salt lake from now on. So not only are these ingredients pure and simple, they are also local, and making use of what the average person would never imagine doing.

Overall I was speechless (which is very rare)- I waltzed out of the shop feeling like I can conquer the world. It is definitely worth checking out people. Even just to sample a smell or scrub. You won’t be disappointed.
